Teacher Tuesday

Dress like a teacher day! I took the jacket from him before his class started. I didn't plan to, but it was pretty warm already and I didn't want the blazer to be smashed into his back pack or ruined on the playground. He still had his button down and corduroys on.
There are pieces of this chew toy all over the floor. I think Dot's done with it.
Part of his homework was to give examples of how he helps out at home. I hope his teacher doesn't think we're slave drivers. I tried to sway him to write things that seemed simpler. But he does do a lot to help all the time.
He's been getting cereal and pouring his own milk in the mornings. By the time I come down the stairs he's usually already had breakfast. I noticed that the cereal he had been eating was empty so I asked him what he ate. He said, "I had the other cereal. The healthy one."
What healthy one?
"The one with granola and raisins in it. You know, Eating Right for Healthy Living."
Not only is he feeding himself breakfast in the morning (because Mama's too slow), but he's reading everything. Sometimes I forget that he reads anything and everything until he tells me what something says and it surprises me. He reads packages, labels, signs, billboards, mail, my texts... Even though he's been reading for about a year, he's gotten so fast and so good at reading almost everything. I'm not used to it.
We made some tacos for dinner. He had about three and still wanted to eat some corn by itself before being done. Silly.
