First Night, Toyoko Inn

First vending machine. Yum, this soda was good! It was so refreshing after dragging in our luggage and being so tired. I wanted tea, but I figured it wasn't the best choice for trying to sleep soon. We arrived at the hotel around 12:00 am. Karin met us there so we could leave together in the morning.
We got some instructions on something, I don't remember. And all of us ladies got to choose an overnight kit. I chose one with a face mask, hair clip, and other random care stuff. I'm liking this already!
So tired! I shared a room with Lisa, who I just met at LAX before leaving. We both showered and called home. I called my boys and she called her parents. We each said hi to each other's families, it was kind of cute. And a fast way to get to know each other, meeting each other's families! The room was only enough room to walk around everything. My suitcase wouldn't even fit on the floor so I slept with it at the end of my bed. And the bathroom was a shower, toilet, sink in a small space. It kind of reminded me of a cruise ship bathroom and bedroom.
Thank goodness Lisa could figure out the A/C system. It was so hot in there! I felt like we were in a sauna until we got it going.
I didn't want to dig out my pajama's since we had to pack and go the next morning. So I borrowed a complimentary robe from the hotel. It was like a giant oversized button down men's shirt. It'll do for just one night. I was too tired to notice any kind of comfort. I don't think the bed was that comfy, but I didn't care. I had been up since 8:00 am at home and when I face timed Nate it was 9:15 am at home. So I had been up for more than a day already. Lisa and I both knocked out so fast. In the morning we woke up and it was bright and we were freezing! We realized that we had left the lights and a/c on! Oops, well that's how tired we were.
